                                           Intro

It was the 4th world war that ended the civilization as we know it. The day that counts as the last in our era is remembered as " The last day (L.D.)" . It's year zero to the new worlds time line. The humans locked them selfs in their bunkers. The period of 100 years that went before the locks opens is now known as the "silent era". Because the people in the bunkers did not know what went on out side. There were of course some humans left on the surface for different reasons. Also robots and mutants. Mutants started to occur among humans, animals and plants after the end of the 3rd world war.

The silent era (S.E.)

Places that are very radioactive is called " Hot spots". Most mutants don't get affected, and some prefer to live around them. 

The first years in the silent era was extremely hard finding food and water. A mutant tribe called "Sloggerna" fund a vegetable that they call "Gruff" in their language. It's a mutated potato that can grow in any soil (except snow). It can even grow in radiated soil, you can eat it but only a small dose otherwise it's lethal. So that's only to recommend if there is no other way to survive. Sloggerna start to grow gruff and thanks to that they survived easier than others. They started to form tribal societies. Around year 9 L.D. the tribes unite under one leader named Rex. Under his leadership they grew stronger and started to wage war against both humans and mutants. But some humans had also started a own tribe. They are called "skinners", because they survive by hunting out in the wasteland. They resemble very much to our native tribes in our world. 

Year 29 L.D. Rex is killed in a battle with skinners. His son Pan (means calm in their language sloggiska) takes over as leader. He wants peace at all cost and negotiate peace with the skinners. An alliance is formed between the two. when one is attacked or in need of help the other will come. As the years go by the bond becomes so strong that they call each other cousins. Both people start to spread out over Europe and sloggiska together with English becomes the two big languages. Pan is very popular as peace reign, without any bigger wars beetween the diffrent races.

Around year 50 L.D. a religious cult know as "Children of damnation" start to grow strong. They are led by their leader mother atom. It's a title so it's not the same woman that has led them all the time. They have a strong disslike to mutants.

Year 79 L.D. a group of humans start to build a city called Christophsburg after their leader.  After just a year Christoph dies of poison. The murderer is never caught. Albert Hayes takes over. He is a military man and reign with brute force. He hates all mutants and he don't trust skinners either, but he still do business with them. He is paranoid, keeping his loyal soldiers close to him. Sloggernas village where Pan lives with his family is not far from Christophsburg. He wants peace but it don't take long before different conflicts starts between them. Battles occur but Pan still believes in peace. Some of sloggerna thinks Pan is old and weak and wants his daughter Tekwa (means star in sloggiska) to lead them instead. She thinks they should attack now before the humans in Christophsburg becomes to strong.

Year 86 L.D. Children of damnation tries to take over Christophsburg but are chased out of the city. Before this Hayes was a strong supporter of them, now they are banished from the city.

Year 88 L.D. At a peace negotiation between sloggerna and Christophsburg, Pan is murdered. It was a trap set by Hayes. The same day soldiers are sent out to the nearest sloggerna villages and kills men, women and children. It's an awful massacre 5 villages are destroyed. The survivors flee out in the wasteland led by Tekwa who swear to avenge her family and lay Christophsburg in ruins. She and her 5 generals take a tribe each and spread out in the wasteland.

Year 100 L.D. Some landscape and weather have changed over the continent. The bunkers open and with that a population growth all over the continent. In Christophsburg there is a bunker right in the town that opens. Hayes don't like their ideas about democracy, so he moves in the bunker with his soldiers. that means better food and housing for them and their families, while the rest of the population lives in the houses in the city. socially interaction between civilians and soldiers are keep to a minimum. So civilians won't talk the soldiers over to their side. There have not been any big attack by sloggerna yet. And people start to believe that there won't be one either. Hayes wants to know more of the world and sends out scouting partys in different directions.
